Generic Lipitor (Atorvastatin, Lipitor® equivalent)
Lipitor is a prescription medication used along with an overall diet plan in order to lower the patient's level of cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart attack. It has been proven to help reduce patients' LDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels significantly, as well as help in maintaining the low levels in the long term. Lipitor belongs to a class of medications known as statins, which work by blocking an enzyme in the liver that is used in the production of LDL ("bad") cholesterol. The body then produces less LDL, and the level of LDL cholesterol in the blood decreases.

AGE AND BEHAVIOR: SLOW RESPONSE TO ENVIRONMENTAL STIMULATION – CENTRAL MECHANISMS - PSYCHOPHYSIOLOGICAL CORRELATES - CARDIAC SYMPTOMS
If RT is unrelated to cardiac rhythms, at least among the old, RT does appear related to the status of overall heart functioning. Abrahams and Birren (1973) compared simple and complex RT of men behavior-ally predisposed to coronary heart disease with those of men not so disposed. The predisposed men were found slower in response. In a somewhat similar manner, Botwinick and Storandt (1974a) compared elderly and young adults in simple RT after categorizing each person in terms of his response to a questionnaire designed to assess cardiovascular well-being. Those who reported more cardiac symptoms were slower in response, but the extent of the symptom-RT relationship was not great. Moreover, the relationship held no more so for the old than for the young, indicating that while cardiac function was involved in speed of response, it did not account for the slowing with age. With little or no exception, these are the sum total of studies testing for psychophysiological correlates of RT in relation to age. They are equivocal, or they account for little of the variance, or they are negative but, in the end, it is only reasonable to expect that, whatever slowing of responses there may be in later life, it has to be referred to psychophysiological functioning. This is especially so if the slowing really is a direct consequence of central nervous system functioning. *226\220\8*
